Our Stewardship Practices

Our reclamation and restoration operations are governed by internal standards that often exceed state and federal environmental regulations.

We work closely with regulators to comply with all local, state, and federal regulations including the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act.

We plant thousands of trees, build streams and wetlands, and restore natural habitat. We also build recreational facilities where the public can swim, fish, hike, and hunt.

We provide cost-efficient, responsible mine services—from managing the project to reshaping the land and restoring the natural habitat.
