NACCO's subsidiaries are as follows: The North American Coal Corporation mines coal primarily for use in power generation and provides selected value-added mining services for other natural resources companies. Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc. is a leading designer, marketer and distributor of small electric household and specialty housewares appliances, as well as commercial products for restaurants, bars and hotels. The Kitchen Collection, LLC is a national specialty retailer of kitchenware in outlet and traditional malls throughout the United States.

Alfred M. Rankin, Jr. , , , Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Rankin has been Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of NACCO Industries, Inc. since May 1994 and Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. since September 2012. Mr. Rankin has also been Chairman of Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc., The Kitchen Collection, LLC, and The North American Coal Corporation since January 2010. He joined NACCO as President and Chief Operating Officer in April 1989 and became President and Chief Executive Officer in May 1991. Prior to joining NACCO, he was Vice Chairman, Chief Operating Officer, and a Director of Eaton Corporation, a position he had held since April 1986. Previous to that, he had served successively as President of Eaton's Materials Handling and Industrial Groups, and as Executive Vice President - Operations. Prior to his fifteen years at Eaton, Mr. Rankin worked for McKinsey and Company, a management consulting firm.

Mr. Rankin received a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Economics and a Juris Doctor degree from Yale University. Mr. Rankin is a director of NACCO Industries, Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, and the National Association of Manufacturers. He is a trustee and former Chairman of the Board of University Hospitals of Cleveland, Advisory Chairman of the Board of the Cleveland Museum of Art, and trustee of the Musical Arts Association. He is a former director of The Vanguard Group, Goodrich Corporation, Standard Products, and Reliance Electric and a former director and Chairman of the Board of the Fourth District Federal Reserve Bank.

President and Chief Executive Officer – The North American Coal Corporation

Mr. Butler is responsible for financial strategies, acquisition and divestiture activities, treasury activities and administrative functions for NACCO and its subsidiary companies. In addition, Mr. Butler is President and Chief Executive Officer of The North American Coal Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of NACCO. Mr. Butler has held his current NACCO position since September 2012 and his North American Coal position since July 2015. Previously, Mr. Butler was Vice President - Corporate Development and Treasurer of NACCO from January 1997 to September 2012, and Manager of Corporate Development and Treasurer of NACCO from May 1996 to January 1997. He was previously Senior Vice President – Project Development, Administration and Mississippi Operations of North American Coal from July 2014 to June 2015 and Senior Vice President - Project Development and Administration of North American Coal from December 2009 to July 2014. Mr. Butler joined NACCO as Manager of Corporate Development in May 1995. Prior to joining NACCO, Mr. Butler was an investment banker with McFarland Dewey & Co., a boutique investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions from 1990 to 1995. From 1989 to 1990, he was an Associate in Mergers & Acquisitions at Drexel Burnham Lambert in New York City. Prior to his career in investment banking, Mr. Butler was an investment analyst in the Prudential Agricultural Realty Group, with shared responsibility for oversight of Prudential Insurance Company's $3 billion investment in U.S. agricultural properties.

Mr. Butler received both a Bachelor of Science degree, with highest distinction, and a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University, and earned an MBA (Master's of Business Administration) degree from Harvard Business School. Mr. Butler is a director of Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. (NYSE:HY) and a director of Midwest AgEnergy Group, a developer and operator of ethanol facilities in North Dakota.

Elizabeth I. Loveman , , , Vice President and Controller

Ms. Loveman joined NACCO Industries, Inc. in December 2012 as the Director of Financial Reporting and became Vice President and Controller in March 2014. She is responsible for financial reporting, internal control, and taxes for the company. Ms. Loveman was previously at NACCO from 1999 to 2005 as a senior financial reporting analyst. Prior to rejoining NACCO in 2012, Ms. Loveman worked at OM Group, Inc. as Manager of Financial Reporting from 2005 to 2012. Ms. Loveman also worked at Deloitte and Touche LLP as an auditor from 1995 to 1999.

Ms. Loveman received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Cleveland State University in 1995 and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Ohio.

John D. Neumann , , , Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Mr. Neumann joined NACCO subsidiary North American Coal in March 2009 as Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary, and became Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of North American Coal in January 2011. In September 2012, Mr. Neumann was named Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of NACCO, with oversight responsibility for legal services provided to NACCO and its subsidiary companies. Prior to joining North American Coal, Mr. Neumann was a mergers and acquisitions attorney with the law firm of Jones Day in Cleveland, Ohio.

Mr. Neumann is a graduate of Grove City College in Pennsylvania and the Florida State University College of Law, where he was a member of The Florida State University Law Review. He is admitted to practice law in Ohio, Texas and Virginia.

Miles B. Haberer , , , Associate General Counsel

Mr. Haberer joined NACCO Industries, Inc. and its subsidiary North American Coal in October 2012. In addition to his Associate General Counsel duties at NACCO, Mr. Haberer serves as Associate General Counsel, Assistant Secretary and President - North American Coal Royalty Company where he oversees litigation, administrative disputes, and land matters. Prior to joining NACCO and North American Coal, Mr. Haberer was a litigation partner in the Dallas office of Hunton & Williams LLP.

Mr. Haberer is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he was a member of the Oklahoma Law Review and the Order of the Coif.

Mary D. Maloney , , , Associate General Counsel, Assistant Secretary and Senior Director – Benefits & Human Resources

Ms. Maloney is Associate General Counsel, Assistant Secretary and Senior Director - Benefits & Human Resources of NACCO Industries, Inc. She assists in the oversight of all legal, corporate and administrative activities of NACCO and its subsidiaries. Ms. Maloney specializes in the areas of employee benefits and compensation, labor law and human resources. Immediately prior to rejoining NACCO Industries, she was an associate legal and administrative officer of Hyster-Yale and Hyster-Yale’s operating company, NACCO Materials Handling Group. Prior to 2006, Ms. Maloney was a partner in the law firm of Jones Day in Cleveland, Ohio where she was co-chair of the Firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice.

Ms. Maloney received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The University of Akron, a Juris Doctor degree from Cleveland State University and a Master of Laws in Taxation degree from Case Western Reserve University. She is admitted to the practice of law in Ohio and is a member of the American and Ohio Bar Associations.

Gregory H. Trepp , , , President and Chief Executive Officer – Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc.

Mr. Trepp has been President and Chief Executive Officer and a director of Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc., and the Chief Executive Officer and a director of The Kitchen Collection, LLC, since 2010. Previously, Mr. Trepp was Vice President, Global Business of Hamilton Beach and Interim President and Chief Executive Officer and a director of The Kitchen Collection, LLC. from April 2009 to December 2009. Prior to April 2009, he was Vice President, Global Marketing of Hamilton Beach. Mr. Trepp has been responsible for marketing, product development, strategic business development, and the Commercial and International businesses of Hamilton Beach. Mr. Trepp started with Hamilton Beach in 1996 as Director of Marketing. Prior to joining Hamilton Beach, he worked at Pepperidge Farm Inc., a division of Campbell Soup Co. and for Young & Rubicam, an advertising firm.

Mr. Trepp received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Richmond and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Connecticut.

Jesse L. Adkins , , , Associate Counsel and Assistant Secretary

Mr. Adkins is Associate Counsel and Assistant Secretary of NACCO Industries, Inc. and its subsidiary, The North American Coal Corporation. He assists with oversight for all corporate governance and compliance activities of NACCO and North American Coal as well as works on corporate transactions and securities and labor matters. Mr. Adkins joined North American Coal in August 2012 as Associate Counsel and became Associate Counsel and Assistant Secretary in November 2012. He became Associate Counsel and Assistant Secretary of NACCO in November 2013. Prior to joining North American Coal, Mr. Adkins worked in private equity and industrial property redevelopment.

Mr. Adkins graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arkansas and cum laude from the SMU Dedman School of Law. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in Applied Economics from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Adkins speaks Russian and is admitted to practice law in Texas.

Thomas A. Maxwell , , , Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and Assistant Treasurer

Mr. Maxwell is Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and Assistant Treasurer of NACCO Industries Inc. Mr. Maxwell oversees forecasting and planning activities for NACCO and its subsidiaries, assists with corporate development and treasury activities, and has oversight of various corporate and administrative activities of NACCO and its subsidiaries. Mr. Maxwell joined NACCO Industries as a Senior Financial Analyst in 2005 and became Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis in 2011. He became Senior Manager, Finance and Assistant Treasurer in January 2014 and Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and Assistant Treasurer in September 2015. Prior to joining NACCO Industries, Mr. Maxwell worked at STERIS Corporation as the Supervisor of Financial Reporting from 2003 to 2005 and at several other companies with various roles in finance and accounting prior to 2003.

Mr. Maxwell received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio University and a Masters of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University.
